This synopsis of Hebrews 12 has been ringing in my mind for a week. It motivated the message yesterday morning. I woke up with it motivating my own obedience this morning.
These are simply the phrases that keep sticking out in my mind through repeated readings of the chapter every day for a week. You should try it this week and come up with your own summary. It would serve you well. Here is mine.
Lay aside
every weight and sin.
Run
with endurance.
BY LOOKING UNTO JESUS.
Do not despise the discipline of the Lord.
Pursue peace with all men.
Pursue holiness in all things,without which no one will see the Lord.
Look carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of the Lord.
Do not refuse Him who speaks.
BECAUSE OUR GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE.
